Epicenter is not only an avocado tree nursery & apple orchard, but a 1 acre homestead - a great example of how much you can do with such a small amount of space - there were gardens, greenhouses, chicken coops, a pen for Brigit (the cow), a shed and composting toilet, composting bins, the wwoofer hut (guesthouse), an outdoor shower & a fair amount of orange and avocado trees on the property.

Apple Orchard - Lucy & I spent a lot of time here weeding, mulching and pruning the trees. We also had an opportunity to attend a grafting workshop taught by our hosts!

We spent Easter with the family at Epicenter - Ellen & Freddie even made us hunt for our baskets!

Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College is a short distance from the homestead & has some excellent live music
we were just a short bike ride to the beach, as well : ]
Epicenter is located about 15 minutes from Santa Cruz & Capitola, so we had plenty of opportunities to explore those towns while we visited - you can check out the photos here.
